The apartment is in a busy (mostly pedestrian) street, just north of the heart of Kiev.
The entrance to the apartment is not on the street side. To reach the apartment you need to get into the inner court of the building. Access is not restricted. The inner court of the building has some free parking possibilities and is guarded as the building behind the apartment is used to store paintings ... that are exposed in the street, to tourists. Once in the inner court you can access the building door with a digital code. No lift is needed to reach the apartment on the first floor. The apartment itself is in need of renovation but has been fitted with new windows. Upon entering, on your left you have a storage space (1 m2). Once you advance in the hallway (4 m2), on your left you have a rather small bathroom (5 m2) with bath-tub, toilet and a single sink. On your right, the bedroom is good sized (19 m2) and has a view on the inner court. It is to be noted that the layout of the apartment is rather clumsy and the renovation should definitely rethink the layout. If you proceed straight forward, upon entering, you come to the kitchen (9 m2). As the rest of the apartment, it needs renovation and is equipped with a gas cooker, single sink. The kitchen window gives on the Andriivs'kyi street. The noise levels are decent since the apartment is not facing the street. The heating is central to the building. The apartment is facing South West.
Building Communal Areas: these areas are of reasonable standing. As with most buildings
in Kiev, the communal areas are the property and responsibility of the city and are not well cared for.

In recent decades the Andreyevsky Spusk (Andriivs'kyi street) has become a cult street for Kyivans and visitors. There are several reasons for this. First, there is the beauty of the street (which was emphasized by the thorough renovation carried out in 1980s). Second the increasing interest of society and the authorities in monuments of culture (not only those like Saint Andrew's Church, but also conventional buildings). Third, the lifting of the prohibition on the creative legacy of Mikhail Bulgakov, whose name is inseparably linked to the history of the Andreyevsky Spusk. And finally, the permission for artists to trade their works freely in the street. Today's Andreyevsky Spusk is comparable to Monmartre in Paris for its picturesque sights and abundant artistic life. The "Poshtova Ploscha" metro station is the nearest to the apartment.
